The much talked about Adidas Kareem Abdul Jabaar range, has gone by pretty quitely. There was a lot of hype surrounding this, before the launch, but I think other releases and hype around the superstar 35th series have detracted from it's release. The shoes are great, and definately don't deserve to be slept on. Here's the latest tee from the range.

As we mentioned when we broke the news about Supreme and Umbro colaborating, the NYC skate label has also joined forces with English knitwear brand John Smedley. Normally known for their high quality lightweight knitwear.

I really enjoy snapshot images. Seeing what people on the streets are wearing, even the sneaker forums, 'what did you wear' threads, they're all good value. The Japanese Magazines are always the best, and I've found an online source. Check out Boon here.
Anyone else remember the story in Sneaker Freaker of Kicks culture in US jails? I remember reading it and thinking how much of an exagerrated view on our own world it is. It was a great story and made me really think. Well Rob, has started his own site now. Sneaker Game, the site is still building, but has some other great stories on file, along with the story of his time in Jail. Check it out and best of luck Rob!
As you all know by now, this blog is about to become a full website, meaning more room for pics, and more news and features! However, as close as we are to launching the site it appears slamhype and slamxhype as domain names, have been taken. We need an appropriate name for the site! Got any ideas? Email me.
Check out the full clothing and shoe catalogue here.
Since Slam began. We've gone from strength to strength. While we're all about creating hype and worshipping hype, we have managed to create abit about ourselves too. I've loved the support I have gained from so many sites, we've had mentions on great sites like, BGHD, RTHQ, The Hundreds and many more. Today however I noticed we had a small mention on Arkitip's online section. Arkitip is a great magazine, and if you don't already know about it, i suggest you check out their site, get as many back issues as you can and subscribe now. It's worth it trust me! It was great honor to be mentioned on their site and from Slam! we thank you for all the great work you've done at Arkitip so far and wish you the best of luck for the future!
We mentioned last week that our friends at The Grand, had acquired Invisible Man to add to their stock list. For those who don't know much about Invisible Man, or want to know more. A convention was held over the weekend at Niketown in Honolulu. A competition was held for the best collection on show, an auction for 6 pairs of unreleased laser dunks, and plenty of goodies on display as well as Mark Smith and Chris Lundy both being in attendance. Looked like a great event. See more pics here courtesy of ISS. FYI: The pair of one of one, brown laser dunks were sold at auction for USD6000!

The latest denim from NBHD has just been released at most overseas spots this week. Hideout supposedly had large queues and some crazy prices have been floating around out there since teir release. I had the chance to see them myself yesterday and have to admit these are definately their best yet, nice selvedge denim and just the right hige.

I must admit I wasn't really feeling the Nike Considered shoes from the first series. I thought the idea and concept was great but the end product, I just didn't feel were that wearable. However, the second series, thanks to Kix-Files and Milk Magazine, look great. I would definately wear both these.
The latest Blazer SB has begun to be released. The US release shouldn't be far away, but the shoe has dropped in Canada and Singapore. I am assuming the Japanese, Hong Kong, UK, Australian and European releases can't be too far off either. Pics from Crooked Tongues.
